Japan FP&A function is primarily responsible
for providing senior management and business leaders with analytical and
anticipatory insights to support and drive their strategic decision making,
optimal resource allocation and business performance. Key responsibilities
include:

Work
with the business to translate strategies into Plans and Budgets - Analyze
performance against Plans, key movements and trends, identifying and
recommending operational and process improvements - Support
decision making through analytical insights and interpretation of financial/non
financial data - Delivers
valued support to business partners, building constructive and effective
partnership
This role will specifically drive and lead the above
responsibilities from a Business Analytics point of view, including:
- Forward
looking content, performance management, and decision support activities for ICG businesses, including Markets & Securities
Services, Investment Banking, Treasury & Trade Solutions and Corporate
Banking - Provide analytical and anticipatory insights to the
business and to the senior management to drive informed decision making / drive
the glide path to longer term performance targets - Lead adhoc analysis to deepen the understanding of the
businesses and/or on themes that arise through performance monitoring. Lead the
development of actionable, tactical and strategic playbook on potential issues - Partner with other Finance functions including Product
Control and Treasury to deepen analytical capabilities to support the business
drive performance - Work with other FP&A teams both onshore and offshore
to support the delivery of value-added, franchise-wide analytics to the senior
management

- Excellent
working knowledge of the ICG businesses - Prior experience of working within Financial Planning and Analysis or similar function and with multiple stakeholders
- Demonstrated strength in analytical capabilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills. Ability to deal and influence all levels (including senior level executive) across the organization
- Ability to prioritize and manage competing demands while collaborating with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to drive changes, challenge the status quo with a desire to make a positive impact to the organization

- Bachelor’s degree in
Accounting/Finance, Business Administration, Mathematics, Economics or related
field study
Japanese: Preferable but not requisite
