The Red Hat Finance team is looking for a Financial Analyst to join us in Tokyo, Japan. In this role, you will support a sales team from the planning and analytical viewpoint, including incentive management. You’ll need to have deep understanding of business dynamics and sales territory structure in Red Hat. You’ll take part in fiscal year planning by working with the members of the Business Finance team and Operations and sales managers to manage the entire process of territory assignment, booking target allocation by sales team, individual sales representatives, and offerings. You will forecast management and performance tracking, including reporting and analysis, especially around our offerings. As a Financial Analyst, you will be expected to demonstrate leadership in incentive management, including sales enablement, process management, change management, and escalation handling, working closely with the Asia Pacific (APAC) incentive team, local sales managers, and other members of the Business Finance team. You’ll manage, maintain, and update credit mapping by sales representatives and communicate with the APAC incentive team to ensure accurate and timely incentive payout. You’ll also participate in product planning and analysis, human capital (HC) and expense forecasting, process improvement, tool enhancement, and other projects, including various analytics to support business growth. You’ll need to have 5+ years of experience in a related field.
Work with Business Finance associates, the Operations team, and sales managers to manage the entire process of territory assignment, booking target allocation by sales team or individual sales representatives and offerings
Serve as a leader in incentive management; be responsible for sales enablement, process management, change management, and escalation handling, working closely with the APAC incentive team, local sales managers, and other Business Finance associates
Work with sales managers to define sales team’s territory and quota structure across various sales teams, including Enterprise and Partner Sales teams
Gain and apply your understanding of sales incentive structure components and align them with sales representatives’ quota setting
Deliver training session to ensure the Sales team’s understanding of an incentive plan
Manage changes in organization structure, business priority, tools, and process by understanding impact to quota and incentive process
Manage, maintain, and update credit mapping by sales representatives and lead communication with the APAC incentive team to ensure timely delivery of quota rollout, sign-off, and payout
Lead and manage quarterly incentive reconciliation
Gain and apply your understand of Red Hat’s portfolio of offerings and categorization structure
Perform forecast management and performance tracking, including reporting and analysis, especially around offerings
Manage human capital (HC) and expense forecasting
Design and run analysis to identify business issues and provide insight for corrective actions
Participate in other tasks, projects, and initiatives as requested by manager or the company

Advanced skills in spreadsheets, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.) or demonstrated ability to learn software quickly
